Exotic Asia Travels is a small company offering personalized service in setting up guided treks and cultural tours for individuals or groups in the remote Himalayan region of India known as Ladakh or land of the high passes. The area is also called "Little Tibet" as the people are mostly of Tibetan origin and maintain the culture that existed in Tibet before the Chinese invasion. We also run treks in Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Bhutan, Nepal, and Tibet. The main trekking season for Ladakh is during the summer months of June through September, but other months are possible for some treks and expeditions. The treks are fully organized by Youltak Tashi Takmachik, a native Ladakhi with extensive trekking experience. The treks are conducted in the grand Himalayan trekking tradition, where the trekkers hike with only a small day pack, and the trekking crew takes care of the tents, food, and trekkers' duffel bags. The guide leads the way, while the crew hurries on ahead to set up the tents and cook the food.
